Changed up the bike a little, especially the front end. Different bars, lost the fork covers and went with gaitors and a fork brace instead. Added a sissybar. Next changes will be a different air cleaner, this little one doesn't breathe well enough for this motor.
Finally on the road again!
Had to farm out the wiring and get wheels/tires mounted so it's at a shop at the moment.
Here's the bike right after I brought it home from Oklahoma. Not bad looking but also not what I plan to end up with.
Picked up an 06 883R that had received some motor work … NRHS 1250 Cylinders, Xb 12 heads with over-sized valves and spiral performance springs. High performance pistons running 10/1 compression with heavy duty wrist pins. Jims big roller lifters and Andrews S4 cams. Screaming eagle ignition module. This will be my commuter to work and back … a 60 mile round trip through rush hour traffic and every now and then will carry a passenger (my wife). so besides those two things to work around I’m going to modify it as much as possible!
